Seattle is coming off its first playoff appearance since 2013, and will welcome back 2016 Rookie of the Year Breanna Stewart, 2015 WNBA Rookie of the Year Jewell Loyd and 2016 All-WNBA First Team selection Sue Bird.
The Seattle Storm’s 2017 home schedule features a pair of trips from Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury, as well as defending WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks at KeyArena on Saturday, July 8. Fans are invited to celebrate Mother’s Day, May 14, with the Storm; Opening Night presented by Swedish will feature the Indiana Fever at KeyArena at 4 pm. Seattle will also host a home game on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18, with a 4 pm tipoff against San Antonio.
Seattle will again host the ‘Summer Fun Zone’ on the West Plaza two hours prior to every Saturday and Sunday game. The ‘Summer Fun Zone’ is free and open to the public, and will feature face painters, music, inflatables and other outdoor activities for kids.
Seattle will be featured on three ESPN telecasts, including the team’s season-opener in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 13 at 2 p.m. The team will also be on ESPN2 on Thursday, June 29 at Connecticut, with tipoff set for 5 p.m. Pacific, and on Tuesday, July 18 vs. Chicago at 6 p.m. Pacific.
